New Mexico CultureNet, in partnership with Santa Fe's Southside Branch Library, is sponsoring POETRY CAFE, a weekly writing and reading circle for Santa Fe area teens.
This FREE workshop will take place from 10:00 a.m. - noon each Saturday, beginning this week, February 7, and running through the end of April.
The library is located at 6599 Jaguar Drive.
The workshop will be led by Rachelle Mechenbier, poet and former English teacher at Santa Fe High School and Alameda Middle School.
On hand for the launch of Poetry Cafe will be rapper, musician, poet, playwright Idris Goodwin.
Participants should bring notebooks, writing implements, water (or coffee), and perhaps something to munch on.
Please pass this on, encourage students to attend. You can help to make this enrichment activity for Santa Fe teens a success.
